Our house faces East, so we get the most glorious sunrises. The point at which the sun first appears over the horizon changes dramatically throughout the year and the tides and weather mean the view is never the same twice.
This painting shows the sun rising over the Machars, the peninsula we see across Luce Bay, looking towards Port William.
